Drawing inspiration from titles such as Earthbound and the Final Fantasy series, the upcoming indie game Yiik: A Post-Modern RPG blends a more modern element into a JRPG-style experience, with the game now confirmed to debut next month.
During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, Yiik: A Post-Modern RPG was revealed to be coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 17, 2019, and a new trailer also debuted alongside the confirmed release date for the game.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Yiik: A Post-Modern RPG takes place in the 1990s and features a story about eight strangers and blends elements of the supernatural with real-life. When they encounter a mysterious woman of unknown origins, their quest begins in a JRPG-style adventure to find out more about these strange occurrences taking place and how to combat them.
