After learning that games like Catherine: Full Body and XCOM 2 have been rated for the Nintendo Switch, it looks like Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is now in the same boat. The beloved Nintendo JRPG got its classification today in Korea following rumors last month that the game will release date of May 29 after being leaked by more than one retail site.
Basically, since the beginning of the year fans have been clamoring for the next Nintendo Direct to get a look at what we can expect during the first half of 2020 and beyond. With these ratings coming out of Korea it is quite possible that we will get a direct within the coming weeks.
Nintendo just held a direct yesterday focusing entirely on the hotly anticipated Animal Crossing: New Horizons so there really is no clear idea as to when there will be another direct, but with these recent ratings I’d say the chances of one coming soon are greater than ever.
Xenoblade Chronicles has had a long and relatively healthy life cycle originally releasing on the Nintendo Wii in 2012 in North America with a 3DS port in 2015. I still have yet to play the game myself, but I can’t wait to finally jump in and see what makes it so special.
