Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the belle of the ball this morning, with a rush of new announcements. While you are soaking all that news in, feel free to marinate in the onslaught of screenshots, illustrations, and character art to showcase the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive JRPG.
While only a week has passed since the last drop of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 screenshots and art assets, the latest batch highlights 40 images of new character designs, in-action gameplay and menus, as well as some gorgeous backdrops that will undoubtedly qualify as desktop background material.
In other news, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 got a brand new trailer, showcasing many of the characters and scenes you see below. Even more important to some, the trailer highlighted the Japanese audio which will be available to everyone (with English subtitles) Day One as a free optional download. Speaking of free downloads, we also heard that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would be seeing a limited crossover with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild due to a new side quest that will allow you to get Rex’s armor.
Of course, not all extra content is free — it turns out that the game will be getting continued content into 2018, and will get an accompanying expansion pass for around $29.99. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2017. Check out the gallery of screenshots, below:
