It’s safe to say that during last night’s Nintendo Direct, millions upon millions of players were hoping to see some kind of Animal Crossing: New Horizons news.
Thankfully, while Nintendo didn’t show a lot, there was more than enough to whet fans appetite as they teased The Roost, plus more big announcements coming in October.
The announcements will be part of an Animal Crossing Direct, that’s not far away, with major changes slated for November.
During the 40 second teaser, players still had questions, including “who is Brewster” and “what is The Roost” in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Let’s take a look.

What is The Roost in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The Roost is a coffee shop in the world of Animal Crossing. It first appeared in Wild World on the Nintendo DS.
It served as a place where players could go and hang out and have a cup of coffee, while also having the chance to encounter some of the game’s special characters.
In Wild World, players had the opportunity to watch K.K Slider’s concerts on a Saturday evening in The Roost and in New Leaf players had the opportunity to work in the Café to earn a few extra bells.

Who is Brewster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Brewster is a pigeon character who works/owns the Roost.
He’s a character who, initially at least, seems quite blunt. However, upon visiting The Roost multiple times, he begins to warm to the character.
After visiting the café and buying coffee for seven days straight, he even offers the player pigeon milk, which we can’t help but feel is a little bit strange!
