Whenever any new DLC for the Far Cry series goes live, it certainly has a lot to live up to. With Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon widely considered one of the best DLC re-imagining of last generation, you can tell Ubisoft is trying to copy that success with the expansion pass for Far Cry 5. Unlike the earlier version that took audiences to Vietnam, Ubisoft Shaghai’s Lost on Mars DLC focuses on a story with more Sci-Fi flair.
DualShockers got to get an early look at Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars, and the experience is definitely way outside of Hope County norms. In the game’s first 55 minutes, seen in the video below, you get to see the comic book-esque intro, a glance at series-idiot Hurk (in a way you’ve never seen him before), and the gameplay that sets the DLC apart from the main game. Namely, the jetpack oriented gameplay, infinitely reloading guns, and enemies that are much more spider than human.
Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars will be available to everyone with the expansion pass tomorrow, on July 17, 2018. Far Cry 5 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can grab both the main game and the season pass on Amazon for Prime Day if the video, below, tickles your fancy:
