With E3 in just a few days from now, naturally the week before the biggest show in gaming is prone to scores of leaks and unanticipated reveals. One of those appears to have been the leaked Watch Dogs Legion, and now it seems certain we’ll hear more about the game straight from the horse’s mouth, Ubisoft.
Following yesterday’s leak of the upcoming game, Ubisoft appears to have let an official announcement hit early for Watch Dogs Legion with a teaser that simply says “God save the NPCs,” with the promise that more will be revealed at Ubisoft’s E3 2019 presentation next week.
This of course ties in with the fact that we now know that Watch Dogs Legion will be taking place in London, reportedly during a “post-Brexit” take on the country. The second part of the teaser references the fact that Legion will apparently allow players full control of any NPC in the world map, which already sounds like an ambitious gameplay goal compared to most other open-world games out there.
Having personally enjoyed the direction that Watch Dogs 2 took the series in back in 2016, I’m excited to see more of what Watch Dogs Legion can offer for fans of the franchise like myself. Combined with the interesting new setting and NPC-oriented gameplay mechanic, it definitely seems like we’ll be in for something wild next week.
Watch Dogs Legion is officially confirmed for a reveal next week at E3 2019, and in the meantime, stay tuned for more information as it comes up.
