The wheels have been turning for 2019’s Overwatch League for some time now with nuggets of information emerging about a number of different teams and organizations. The latest piece of news comes from Vancouver’s squad announcing that it will be teaming up with Luminosity for the upcoming season.
The Vancouver side is among the eight new teams making their debut at the 2019 Overwatch League, and they’ll be battling to make an impression within the packed roster. To do so, they have formed a collaboration with celebrated eSports company Luminosity to create strategies and gameplans, push marketing, and help out with the team’s daily operations.
Luminosity is known in the Overwatch world for signing Team Mixup alongside the ever-charismatic player Brandon “Seagul” Larned who recently retired from professional eSports. The company has also made waves in a number of other competitive gaming scenes including its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team which won the MLG Major Championship in Columbus 2016 and its Call of Duty: WWII team which the top spot in 2017’s Northern Arena Showdown.
Luninosity CEO Steve Maida stated that he is thrilled and humbled to be part of the collaboration. He continued to say that he wishes to make fans proud.
Overwatch is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The popular shooter can be purchased now from Amazon.
