Based on the title alone, Untitled Goose Game is an eagerly awaited indie game that, naturally, has players taking on the role of a crazed goose that is very much on the loose, and while the game was expected to debut in early 2019, unfortunately we’ll have to wait a little bit longer.
Developer House House has announced that Untitled Goose Game has been delayed from its originally intended release window in early 2019 and instead will be coming later this year.
No specific release window or date has been nailed down just yet for Untitled Goose Game from House House, and the studio added that while the delay is due to “circumstances beyond our control,” the team said that the additional time will allow them “to make the best goose game possible.”
Though the delay is a bit of a setback for those that were hoping to live out their goose fantasies any time soon, the team at House House did deliver a fun video to at least bring the news down on a positive and humorous note. Based on what we’ve seen from the game so far, the ability to wreak havoc as a crazed goose seems like it will be worth the wait.
Untitled Goose Game will arrive for Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac sometime in 2019.
A bit of news: due to circumstances beyond our control — see video — our goose game will not be arriving until later in 2019. This means we’ll be able to make the best goose game possible! Thanks for your patience — we’ll get this goose to you as soon as we can. pic.twitter.com/8BqbYw0wQb
