Ubisoft’s alternative online event to their canceled E3 press conference will be premiered next weekend and the French publisher teases some of the games that will be presented during the event in a new teaser trailer.
As shown in the brief teaser below, new trailers from Watch Dogs Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Hyper Scape are already confirmed. That being said, there are way more ongoing projects at Ubisoft studios that fans want to hear more during the upcoming showcase. Most recently, new speculation around Far Cry 6 revealed that Giancarlo Esposito, one of the famous actors in the Breaking Bad series, has played a role in Far Cry 6, which based on rumors will be unveiled on next Sunday, July 12.
Currently, Ubisoft has a big load of games without a specific launch date. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Roller Champions, Skull & Bones, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Gods and Monsters, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and The Settlers are all of the ongoing projects at Ubisoft that have been already announced, but either delayed or received no release dates.
Watch Dogs Legion was supposed to be launched on current-gen platforms earlier this year, but Ubisoft decided to push it back to a later date in order to work on the game’s next-gen versions as well. Currently, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla seems to be the closest big launch by Ubisoft for this year, though they might have more surprises for the release window of next-gen consoles.
Of course, we all die for another Splinter Cell title or a new Rayman entry coming to next-gen consoles, but the company has so many unfinished projects right now that makes me lower my expectations for new announcements other than Far Cry 6.
Ubisoft Forward will go live at 12 PM PDT/9 PM CEST on July 12 and you can watch it from YouTube or Twitch.
