As China is the biggest gaming market on the planet, many western developers and publishers are looking to bring their most successful games there. Ubisoft will be the next to bring its titles to China’s highly successful PC and mobile markets, as the publisher announced today that it has partnered with Tencent to introduce its games to that massive market.

While no specific titles were given Ubisoft did confirm that it is bringing its “most successful titles” to PC and mobile devices in China. For a studio with several notable IPs like Assassin’s Creed, The Division, and Rainbow Six, Tencent and Ubisoft certainly won’t find a shortage of games to bring over. This partnership should also benefit Tencent, who has a history of bringing major titles like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to the region.

Yves Guillemot, CEO and Co-Founder of Ubisoft, had the following to say about bringing his company’s top titles to China:

“Tencent manages the largest online games community in China and one of the largest, most active social networks in the world, so this deal should help us dramatically increase our games’ exposure and engagement in China. We are fortunate to have a fantastic partner in Tencent, and look forward to continuing to work with them to deliver great gaming and entertainment experiences for Chinese players.”

Martin Lau, President of Tencent, also commented on this new partnership:

“We are honored to start this new chapter of our relationship with Ubisoft, and to be able to bring many of Ubisoft’s creative and renowned titles to our Chinese customers. This agreement further demonstrates Tencent’s commitment to delivering reliable, fun, and professional interactive entertainment experiences for our users.”

In other recent Ubisoft news, the studio has recently announced The Division 2 and successfully blocked an acquisition attempt by Vivendi for good.
