While Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege had a somewhat rough launch in December of 2015, Ubisoft has continued to actively support the game, so its player base has kept on growing. Today, we learned that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has surpassed a significant milestone, as there are now over 30 million registered players across all platforms.
Alexandre Remy, Brand Director for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege at Ubisoft, had the following to say about the title passing this milestone:
“On behalf of the entire team, we wanted to thank every member of our diverse, global community for their support of our game. Our players are the most valuable element to our game. Over the last three years we have endeavored to create a solid community built on transparency as we grow and evolve the ever-expanding world of Rainbow Six Siege. We are so tremendously honored to achieve this milestone, and we will continue to do everything we can to earn each and every new person that decides to play.”
This announcement also came alongside the reveal of an ambitious development goal. While Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege already has 38 operators for players to choose from, Ubisoft is aiming to bring that number up to 100 over the next few years, so support for the game shouldn’t be dying out anytime soon.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you want to try out the game for yourself, you can currently pick up the game on Amazon.
