Although video games as a whole tend to enthrall us on a regular basis, we can occasionally become accustomed to their antics and even somewhat desensitized to their formats. However, every once in a while a title will come along and be just unusual enough to make us collectively raise an inquisitive eyebrow. Tick Tock: A Tale for Two looks set to achieve that exact reaction in its players.
Created by independent Danish/Swedish outfit Other Tales Interactive which focuses on experimental and narrative-heavy games, Tick Tock: A Tale for Two is an exclusively cooperative title. The game places players inside a pair of clockwork worlds were they must work together to conquer puzzles and escape. There will be limitations on each end to encourage cooperative thinking in order to piece together the story from hints and riddles directed at either player independently.
Furthermore, the game will feature options to allow players to play from two different devices and will also support cross-platform play.
Tick Tock: A Tale for Two is due to release in the first quater of next year on Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and mobile devices. The intriguing co-op title will also be making an appearance at PAX West this weekend as part of the show’s indie showcase.
