Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is an excellent standalone spin-off from the main franchise. The game mixes Gwent gameplay with classic Witcher story-telling, meaning you’re forced into some tough choices. Of course, Thronebreaker twists the Gwent formula at times to keep you on your toes, but Gwent fans should feel at home with this release. CD Projekt Red’s card game originally launched on PC in 2018 before making its way to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. And now, the game is finally coming to mobile via iOS. Give the launch trailer a watch below.

Thronebreaker‘s campaign will run you roughly 30 hours, giving you plenty of content to play if you ever start commuting again. More importantly, progress carries between iOS and PC, so you can pick the game up wherever you are. That’s a welcome move that makes buying the game in both places a much more enticing prospect.

Additionally, the game comes with a few nifty digital goods. You’ll get the game’s official soundtrack, some concept art, and a map of Lyria. Plus, if you’re a Gwent: The Witcher Card Game player, Thronebreaker comes with several pieces of content for that game.

Make sure your phone has some space before you go to download though. The game comes in at a sizeable 4GBs. That’s a decent chunk of real estate, but given the game’s length, it’s probably worth it.

Android users wondering if they’ll have the opportunity to pick up Thronebreaker shouldn’t have to wait too much longer. An Android release is planned for this year, so hopefully, we’ll get news on that front relatively soon.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is available now on iOS. You can also pick it up on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
