In a series of unfortunate events that ranged from two cases of COVID-19 hitting the studio, Henry Cavill went and hurt his leg last month while on an assault course and working at a height of 20ft while also wearing a safety harness. Unfortunately, filming of season two had to be temporarily suspended due to Cavill’s injury but for those that have been wondering how Cavill is, he has now given an update over on his Instagram account.
“We are in lockdown here in the UK so I’m using my once a day outdoor exercise to go for my first jog since my hamstring injury,” Cavill wrote on Instagram last week that included a picture of the actor outdoors wearing a mask. “It wasn’t fast, and it certainly [wasn’t] far, but it has been a major step in my recovery, and my first step to getting back into the groove after a Christmas that may have involved more than a few cups of mulled wine, and an exceptionally fat Turkey.” Cavill joked that he was now trying to get back in shape by “working off the Christmas cheers”.

We wish Henry all the best of luck in his recovery and we all can’t wait to see him back as Geralt of Rivia along with the rest of the crew this year.
As we approach being able to watch season two at some point this year, we recently got to see a small reveal of its script. On the final day of Witchmas over on Twitter, Netflix Queue gave us a sneak-peak at the first page of The Witcher season two. If you have read the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, specifically “A Grain of Truth” which is the third story in The Last Wish, the script may just have given away a hint on what’s to come in season two in Netflix’s The Witcher. If you’re into knowing more about what monsters and beasts roam the world in Netflix’s The Witcher season one, you’ll probably love this recent video that takes a look into the monster’s real-world origins that also includes funny bloopers.
The Witcher is available to stream on Netflix now and if you wish, be sure to check out our own review for the Netflix series here as you wait to get a look at season two. If gaming is more your style, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will be heading to next-generation platforms and this time, the game will look as pretty as ever.
