After several seasons set in the heartbreaking and intense world of a post-zombie apocalypse, Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: The Final Season will officially be bringing its acclaimed series to a close, and now new footage from San Diego Comic-Con is here to show you the opening minutes.
During San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Telltale Games debuted new gameplay footage from The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which shows the opening 15 minutes from the series’ first episode (of four).
As we’ve seen previously in the game’s debut trailer, The Final Season will be bringing an end to the story of Clementine since we first saw her in the very first season of The Walking Dead, and from the new gameplay footage it’s sure to be devastating and emotional. This time around though, The Final Season will see Clementine much older than in the past seasons of the series, so it will be interesting to see how her experiences (so far) have turned her into a hardened survivor over the years.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season will debut its first episode on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 14th, 2018, while the game will arrive for Nintendo Switch later this year. For a closer look at the first episode, you can check out the new gameplay footage from San Diego Comic-Con below:
