GRIP Digital and Teotl Studios announced that they will release their survival adventure game The Solus Project on PS4 on September 18th.
In addition to being playable on Sony Interactive Entertainment’s console, the game will also be playable on PlayStation VR.
The game places the player in a monumental journey to find mankind’s last hope for survival, but after an accident, they find themselves shipwrecked and alone on an unknown planet, having to struggle and survive against an alien environment.
The press release also included a comment from the developers:
“As one of the few story-focused survival adventure games, we’ve been anticipating the reaction of the PlayStation fans and are incredibly excited to bring The Solus Project to both PS4 and PlayStation VR this September! VR support was an important part of development throughout The Solus Project and it’ll truly be great to see PlayStation fans jump in.”
You can check out the announcement trailer below, alongside quite a few mood-setting screenshots. The game will be priced at $19.99.
Pre-orders are already open on the European PlayStation Store, with a discount for PlayStation Plus members. Pre-orders for North America are not available yet at the moment of this writing.
The Solus Project is a spiritual successor to Teotl’s 2010 game The Ball, and was launched last Summer for PC and Xbox One, following a period on Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview. At long last, gamers on PS4 will also be able to get their hands on it, and their eyes on its foreboding alien landscapes.
