Private Division, a publishing label for Take-Two Interactive has a lot of interesting sci-fi titles on the horizon like V1 Interactive’s Disintegration and Star Theory’s Kerbal Space Program 2. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch port of Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds is in the pipeline as well. Take-Two Interactive’s financial report for Q2 2019 was released today, and it has narrowed the window in which we can expect the Nintendo Switch version of The Outer Worlds to release.
Prior to today, Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment have been pretty coy about when exactly this port would be releasing. This report not only confirms that it is coming out in 2020, but that it is set to arrive during Take-Two Fiscal Year 2020, which we are currently in. This means that we can currently expect the Nintendo Switch version of The Outer Worlds to release sometime before March 31, 2020.
I loved The Outer Worlds when I played it on PS4 just last month, awarding it a 9.5 in my review. It is one of my favorite games of 2019 and a title that should be on any RPG fan’s radar. If the porting job is good and you have not picked up The Outer Worlds yet, you should definitely consider getting the game when it comes out on Nintendo Switch. If you want to check it out before then, the game is currently available on Amazon.
