Team 17 and Mouldy Toof Studios have released yet another new trailer for the eagerly anticipated sequel to 2015’s critically-acclaimed prison escape title The Escapists. This time around, the team decided to focus on The Escapists 2’s prison transports.
In the new trailer, we see three of the game’s ten prisons, which are unique from the rest in that they are prisons on the move! With these trials, prisoners will need to move quickly to leave the hangman without a date. That means your escape will be timed!
First up, we see the Cougar Creek Railroad, which is located precisely where you might expect: on a train. Similarly, the H.M.S. Orca location is a prisoner transport by water, and the Air Force Con location is for “only the most hardened of criminals.” You’ll be escaping from a plane in-flight.
In The Escapists, players need to plan detailed escapes from some of the world’s most secure prisons, crafting weapons and tools, avoiding attention from guards, and taking every wacky precaution into account to make it out alive. In contrast to the first title, The Escapists 2 will allow players to take part in cooperative play, both local and online, with up to four players.
The Escapists 2 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 22. A Nintendo Switch version of the game will follow thereafter. For more information on the game, you can check out the game’s Steam page. The new Transport Prisons trailer can be seen below.
