The epic strategy series The Banner Saga is coming to a close with the game’s third and final chapter this summer, but for those that have yet to jump into the series, the franchise’s very first chapter is coming to the Nintendo Switch just on the horizon.
Over on the game’s Twitter page, publisher Versus Evil and developer Stoic Games have announced that The Banner Saga — the first in the strategy RPG trilogy — will be available for Nintendo Switch owners on May 17th, 2018. The game will retail on Switch for $19.99, and pre-orders for it are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
The game’s Switch release was previously announced during one of Nintendo’s indie focused presentations, alongside the news that the series’ second and third chapters will also be coming to the platform this year. Given that the series focuses on player decisions and choices, having all three available on one platform will definitely be an incentive for players to catch up on the previous two games before the final installment, The Banner Saga 3, debuts in July.
The Banner Saga will release for Nintendo Switch on May 17th, 2018 — the title is also available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.
