It’s Valentine’s Day, which means tons of happy couples will be out on dates tonight. However, if you just want to stay at home and experience the thrill of dating, Echo Chamber Games have you covered. Table Manners mixes the absurdity of physics games like Surgeon Simulator with the dating sim genre to hilarious results. Check out the launch trailer below.
Table Manners sees you going on a date at some of the fanciest restaurants in town. As you make your way through each date, you’ll need to use all your wiles to impress your partner. Each restaurant comes with its own challenge, some of which look incredibly difficult. Add in a silly take on a dating app, and you have a game that’s worth a look this holiday.
Because Table Manners has you playing as a disembodied hand, I kind of wish this was a virtual reality experience. Obviously, it doesn’t need to be, but this kind of game seems like it would do very well in VR. That said, I’ve been watching publisher Curve Digital streaming the game while writing this, and it looks like a good bit of fun. It might not be the deepest, fully-featured experience, but if you’re just looking to have a good time over a long weekend, this might be right up your alley.
Table Manners is out now on PC via Steam. Give it a look if you’re looking for something silly to play this Friday night. It might be just what Cupid ordered.
