Today Nintendo released the recording of the final round of the Nintendo World Championship 2017, in which the contestants had to tackle some Super Mario Odyssey gameplay pitched against one another.
First and foremost, we get to see them tackle a puzzle section, and what’s most interesting is that part of it imitates the classic 2D platforming gameplay from traditional Super Mario games.
The second challenge features a different puzzle platforming level challenging the contestants to climb a tower and grab a moon by using many different mechanics in order to keep going up.
The third challenge sees competitors brave an icy level with plenty of platforming ans slippery surfaces, ending up with a boss battle, all using extensively the capture mechanic utilizing Mario’s new hat friend cappy.
