If localization options were holding you back from playing Supergiant’s amazing ARPG Pyre, there is some good news for you. According to a recent announcement, Pyre will now officially support Chinese, Russian, French, German, and Spanish — though not on all consoles at first.
News comes by way of the Supergiant development blog, which made the announcement earlier today. The update should be already available for everyone who has the game on PC. Meanwhile, if you’ve picked the game on PS4, you will be getting the update next year. Although there is no official timeline on the update, it should be coming sometime in “Early 2018.”
And if you haven’t played Pyre, you should. DualShockers got to review the game, awarding it a 9.5 out of 10. Specifically, we noted “Supergiant Games has crafted one of this year’s most unique titles that’s equally tense and thought-provoking throughout its journey.” Ryan went so far as to name it his ninth favorite game of 2017, in our recent Game of the Year countdown.
Of course, this isn’t the only free update made available for Pyre. Earlier this year, Supergiant added a free update titled “True Nightwing” that added two hours of music and an Ironman mode.
Pyre is currently available for PC and PlayStation 4.
