After announcing its plans for E3 2019 last week, Nintendo has this morning revealed that it will be holding another Direct prior to the gaming convention and it’s coming sooner than you probably think.
Nintendo announced this morning that tomorrow it will be holding a special Direct that is focused entirely on next month’s release of Super Mario Maker 2. The Direct is said to last around 15-minutes in total and it will take place at 3pm PST/6pm EST.
This Direct taking place honestly makes a ton of sense for a variety of reasons. For starters, we still haven’t seen much of Super Mario Maker 2 since it was unveiled earlier this year, so it’s about time for Nintendo to start showing off more of the title. While this could’ve happened next month during E3, feasibly, that gaming convention is likely taking place too close to the game’s release to build up much excitement. Plus, it would have to compete with every other game at the show for the spotlight. Having a dedicated Direct tomorrow seems to be just about the perfect way to talk about this game more to fans.
Of course, if you can’t watch tomorrow’s Direct for yourself, we’ll have all of the latest and most important information regarding Super Mario Maker 2 here on DualShockers after it airs. Super Mario Maker 2 releases later next month on June 28 exclusively for Switch.
Tune in on Wednesday, May 15 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET for a roughly 15-minute presentation packed with information all about #SuperMarioMaker2 for #NintendoSwitch. pic.twitter.com/YUEDCzKQO4
