Judging from the sole key visual revealed so far, featuring all the main characters of the original game, it’s highly likely the anime will be a straight adaptation of the original game’s story.
Subarashiki Kono Sekai was one of the first RPGs launched on Nintendo DS by Square Enix. It first launched in Japan in 2007. The game was later localized as The World Ends With You and released in the west. In Japan, an iOS and Android port launched in 2012. That port was used as base for The World Ends With You Final Mix first launched on Switch in 2019. Though many who played the original believe it’s inferior due to its controls.
