The official Street Fighter Twitter account revealed some big news, news hinted at since last month by the producer Yoshinori Ono. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be launching on February 14th of next year. Champion Edition will included 40 characters, 34 stages, over 200 costumes, and all the modes released so far for the title.
There’s also a new mechanic called V-Skill (V-Skill II) that will be introduced to the game. The announcement came with a trailer as well, showcasing all the new content:

In addition, Gill — the main villain of Street Fighter 3 — will be added to the roster either through the Champion Edition in February 2020 or as DLC starting this December. He has two V-Skills called Primal Fire and Ice of Doom. Not mention, a pretty sweet theme.
According to the official description: “Gill, a master of both pyrokinesis and cryokinesis, is able to control fire and ice with perfect elemental balance (hence his outward appearance). Typically plotting behind the scenes, he is now ready to reveal himself to the world, as he sets out to fulfill the prophecy that the Secret Society has coveted since ancient times.”

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both Street Fighter V and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and adds each character, stage and costume that released after Arcade Edition and will release with Champion Edition. The game will cost $29.99 and is ready for preorder starting today, with a preorder bonus of new colors for each character. For those who want all the new content for their current version, the Upgrade Kit is $24.99 and can be purchased now.
The single and multiplayer modes that will be available include Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Team Battle, Ranked Match, and Casual Match. In addition to the main game and the included characters, there will also be new stages and costumes. The new V-Skills for each character as well as the balance update will both be released in December.
The last big announcement involved three characters being added to the game: E. Honda, Lucia, and Poison. The same news also involved an apology from Valve as they accidentally leaked said characters before they could be revealed properly at EVO 2019.
