Developer Undead Labs announced today that they’ll be launching an updated version of State of Decay 2 to coincide with the game’s launch on Steam. The new edition includes tons of upgrades and improvements, along with all the previously released content for the hit game. Undead Labs’ latest trailer is a great overview of everything coming to this new big edition. Give it a watch below.
The list of updates coming to State of Decay 2 is vast. Undead Labs has fully remastered the graphics and, while the game only launched in 2018, the updated visuals look great. It’s not necessarily something the game absolutely needed, but it’s great to have, nonetheless. The team is also adding a new world map that’s “inspired by the Pacific Northwest”. It’s a nice change of scenery that will excite both old and new players. Undead Labs is even adding a suite of two-handed weapons for your zombie-killing pleasure.
And, along with all that new content, the Juggernaut Edition gives you all the add-on packs released for State of Decay 2 so far. That means the story campaign Heartland, the siege-style Daybreak, and the Independence Pack are all included. That s a ton of content for your $30. Of course, if you have Games Pass, this is all coming along with it, making that an even more attractive package.
State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition launches on PC March 13. That will also be the first day the game is available on Steam, so if you’re waiting for it to come to that platform, you now have your finalized date.
