So, you’ve basically done everything imaginable in Stardew Valley. You love the game, but you’d like something new to do. Lucky for you, the game’s developer, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone is working on a bit of new content that will bring multiplayer to the game. Along with that, the game will also be getting a bit of new single-player content as well.
Stardew Valley Update 1.3 is expected to launch first for PC, Mac, and Linux sometime in early 2018, but that doesn’t mean that creator Eric Barone isn’t going to tease us every step of the way there. Barone recently took to Twitter to say that while the multiplayer content is coming along, the update will affect single-player as well.
I’m working on some new Stardew Valley content, to be released with the upcoming free multiplayer update. This will affect single-player, too! I’ll share more when the release gets closer. Though I’ll keep some things secret (more fun) pic.twitter.com/rgWCt8IIRi

Although Barone says he’ll be revealing a bit more information about this free update as it nears, we already know a fair amount as a result of some information that was shared by the official Stardew Valley website back in August.
Update 1.3 will release for PC, Mac, and Linux in early 2018, with Nintendo Switch to follow. Shortly after that, the update will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Recently, Stardew Valley publisher Chucklefish revealed that a new game would soon be coming that is “Stardew Valley meets Harry Potter.”
