It seems that classic 1990s’ platforming icon and all-round adorable dude Spyro is off to a hot start as the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy has claimed the top spot in the UK’s retail charts effectively knocking the enormously successful Red Dead Redemption 2 into second place.
According to GamesIndustry.biz Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is one of six new entries in this week’s charts along with Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle, Fallout 76, Hitman 2, and Pokémon’s duo to titles Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!
Following Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, the hottest new entry this week is Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic Fallout 76 which easily the third position. It seems that Pokémon’s mascot Pikachu proves to be ever-popular as Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! shoots into fourth place while its Kanto counterpart Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! trails behind in sixth. Hitman 2 also creeps into the tenth spot as the final new entry in the compilation.
Along with Rockstar Games’ wild west epic , Red Dead Redemption 2 holding firm in the number 2 position, there are also a three other returning titles in the top ten. These come in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Fifa 19, and Nintendo Switch’s Mario Kart 8: Deluxe.
