While Splatoon 2 for Nintendo Switch normally gets its praise for the original mechanics or family-focused fun, it may have one under-appreciated element: the soundtrack. Thankfully, Nintendo is giving it the credit it deserves with a brand new video showcasing the behind the scenes recording of some songs.
Seen in the three-minute video below, we don’t see just one song from Splatoon 2. Instead, we get a decked out medley, with smooth transitions between them. The full list of songs (for those who would recognize them) are:
- Don’t Slip — Wet Floor
- Ebb & Flow — Off the Hook
- Broken Coral — Ink Theory
- Deluge Dirge — w-3
- Fishing Frenzy — w-3
- Fins & Fiddles — Bottom Feeders
- Fresh Start — Squid Sisters
In case you were wondering, Ebb & Flow is the best of the bunch — but they all are a solid group of tracks.
Splatoon 2 is very much following in the footsteps of the original Splatoon, offering a steady drip of new content for those interested in sticking with the third-person cartoon shooter. For instance, the brand new maps and modes that came earlier this December. On top of that, the stream of Splatfest never seem to slow down — one happening right now, asking players to switch between Sweaters and Socks as worse Christmas presents.
Splatoon 2 launched in late July exclusively for Nintendo Switch; DualShockers reviewed the game, giving it a 7.5 out of 10. Check out the behind the scenes music video below:
