The tale of souls and swords will continue later this year with the upcoming release of Soulcalibur VI on consoles and PC, and notably Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series will be making his debut in the long-running fighting series as this installment’s guest character, and now a new video will let you see Geralt’s moveset in greater detail.
Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new behind-the-scenes video for Soulcalibur VI, and specifically the video provides a showcase of the moves and abilities for Geralt of Rivia in his appearance in the game.
Specifically, several team members from The Witcher series developer CD Projekt RED provided some explanation into how they approached adapting Geralt’s fighting style into the Soulcalibur series, especially as Geralt will utilize a combination of both swordplay and his Sign abilities.
Personally, I’m excited to see how Geralt fares against the cast of the Soulcalibur series, and especially to see how his blend of close quarters combat and magic abilities could make him a unique combatant for the series, alongside some fun fan service for fans of The Witcher to see his abilities put to use outside of the acclaimed RPG series.
Soulcalibur VI will release later this year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For a closer look at The Witcher‘s Geralt of Rivia in fine fighting form, you can check out the new video below:
