Sega launched a new trailer for their new 3D Sonic title, Sonic Forces, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC Holiday 2017.
The trailer introduces “Tag” gameplay, a style in Sonic Forces that players will most likely master as they play through the game’s levels. In this modern Sonic title, players can use their costume created character to team up with Sonic and work in tandem with the Blue Blur.
How this works is the character leading the pack will depend on the moves that the player uses. So when Sonic takes the lead while boosting, the Hero character can take over when using its Wispon, the trailer shows off a Wispon called the “Cube Hammer”.
Sonic Forces borrows gameplay from multiple Sonic titles and brings them together for a fast action title featuring 3D and 2D levels for players to experience.
Recently, a new villain, Infinite, was shown off in a brand new trailer. Additionally, there was a tease that more news about Sonic Forces will be coming soon.
We also reviewed the newest Sonic game, Sonic Mania, which looks nothing like Sonic Forces, but instead acts as a return to the retro Sonic of the 90’s.
