Yesterday, Sledgehammer Games confirmed that two multiplayer modes Prop Hunt and Gun Game had been permanently added to Call of Duty: WWII.

This news comes from the official Sledgehammer Games Twitter account. Initially, these two modes were introduced into Call of Duty: WWII after the release of the first DLC pack, The Resistance was released, which added new weapons along with other game modes into the popular World War II shooter.

Inspired by the notable mod of the same name which was initially available in the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Prop Hunt was first introduced as a legitimate multiplayer mode with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Ware Remastered; the concept of the game pits two teams against each other. One side assumes the role of hunters, which are armed with a P90 and Desert Eagle with unlimited ammo, as well as a Knife and one Stunt Grenade while the other team portrayed as defenseless props. Each round lasts four minutes, and at the end of each round, both sides switch roles, the first team to get three victories wins the match.

Making its first appearance in the first Call of Duty: Black Ops game, Gun Game is a free-for-all multiplayer match; up to six players face off. At the beginning of the game, each player is on even grounds armed with nothing more than a basic pistol. Each time you successfully kill an opponent, your weapon will change, however, if you get a melee kill you will be demoted a firearm. The first player to reach eighteen kills wins the game.

The developer also revealed that a new hotfix was recently added, which makes several modifications to Gun Game, including the removal of players which are away from their keyboards. While we are on the topic of the Call of Duty series, two days ago, Black Ops III developer Treyarch released a new update for the game; adding a new winter-themed map, as well as a well-liked game mode.
