Slay the Spire is an excellent deck-building game from Mega Crit. It launched on PC in early 2019 and came to consoles after. However, it has always felt like it would feel right at home on mobile devices. Well, very soon that dream is becoming a reality. At least if you’re an iOS user.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Slay the Spire is finally making its way to mobile this month. For now, Mega Crit only has the iOS version ready, but the Android port is “still in the works”. Though, hopefully, Android users like myself won’t have to wait too long.
We’re still completely solid on the release date as Mega Crit is seemingly revealing that at the Guerrilla Collective show on June 6. Personally, I find it a bit weird that they didn’t just hold the full announcement until then, but I’m not a marketer, so what do I know? Anyways, the big takeaways are that the game will cost $9.99 on iOS and includes the complete experience. Except for the mods. You won’t get those.
That said, it seems like a fair and attractive package for the game’s fans and newcomers alike. The PC and console versions will run you $24.99, making the iOS port a much-easier purchase. I mean, the game is great and you should play it regardless, but no one is going to balk at getting that discount.
Slay the Spire is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One now. It will launch on iOS later this month and Android sometime after. Be sure to check back on June 6 after the Guerrilla Collective to learn the firm release date and much more from the event.
