Yacht Club Games, the developers behind Shovel Knight and its many expansions, is gearing up to attend PAX East in Boston later this month. While the company will be bringing with it both Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown, the final two expansions in the Shovel Knight saga, it seems it’ll also be unveiling the next published game that it will be releasing.
In a new email sent out courtesy of Yacht Club Games today, the studio announced that it has plans to let those in attendance at PAX East go hands-on with a new game that is being published by Yacht Club. Keep in mind, this means that the game isn’t actively being developed by Yacht Club and instead merely being published under its label. Previously, Yacht Club has also published Azure Striker Gunvolt back in 2016. A new image of the mysterious game in question was also released and it seems to feature a character holding a katana of sorts in a destroyed city.
Fortunately, we’re already all booked and ready to meet with Yacht Club at PAX East. While we aren’t really sure how much of this new title we’ll be able to see, I’d imagine we should be able to get some hands-on impressions of our own to later share with you. Stay tuned for our coverage live from the show as we should have quite a lot to bring to you this year.
PAX East is set to take place at the very end of this month from March 28 through the 31st.
