After last week’s Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Epic Games Store is offering Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments this week to make you challenge your brain with a bunch of mysterious cases that need to be solved.
Sure it is hard to get along with the lockdown recently, but playing games is still one of the easiest ways to forget about the ongoing disaster in the world. Hopefully, many markets are giving away free titles to help us have fun days at home, though some platforms like Epic Games Store were doing the same for nearly a long time. Offering one, and sometimes two, free games every week, Epic Games Store’s new free-to-claim title is a mystery adventure from Sherlock Holmes series.
Originally launched back in 2014, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments puts you in the role of the famous fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes, to solve the challenging mysteries of six distinct cases with different stories and backgrounds. As you may know, Sherlock isn’t an ordinary detective, which allows you to use his special abilities to find the truth and discover what lies behind each crime.
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments received mostly mediocre reviews after launch, but still better than its successor, The Devil’s Daughter. However, for the fans of the Sherlock series, Crimes and Punishments is still a fun and enjoyable experience that’s worth to give it a shot. Make sure to add it to your library until April 16 if you are interested in having a Sherlock-style investigation.
After working on the Sherlock Holmes series for over five years consecutively, Frogwares delivered The Sinking City last year as a brand new horror adventure inspired by H.P. Lovecraft novels. The game follows a bunch of suspicious murders that leads the protagonist to the existence of an otherworldly creature behind all the mess.
