Today Rare and Microsoft announced the release date for Sea of Thieves‘ first major content update.
The update is titled The Hungering Deep and it will be released on May 29th, which means that it’s less than two weeks away.
Alongside the announcement, we get a trailer talking about giant sea monsters, ancient seafarers, sacrifices, which is some really intriguing stuff, even if we haven’t seen or heard much about the gameplay just yet. Hopefully, this means that this is heavily story-driven content and Rare doesn’t want to spoil it.
While we wait to hear (and possibly see) more, you can enjoy the trailer below. If you want to know more about the game, you should definitely read our review.
Sea of Thieves is currently available for Xbox One and Windows 10. If you haven’t got the game yet, you can gab the Xbox One version on Amazon. You can also receive the game as part of an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
