Last month, we learned that Square Enix planned on releasing Romancing SaGa 3 in Japan on November 11, 2019. Today, just before Tokyo Game Show, the western branch of the company confirmed that Romancing SaGa 3 will also be releasing on on that date in North America and that SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions will follow soon after on December 3. The confirmation of western release for these titles is really cool as neither have ever been released in North America before.
Romancing SaGa 3 will actually be coming out exactly 24 years after its initial release on the Super Famicom in Japan. It improves upon the original with better HD graphics, a new game plus mode, some new storylines, and the brand new Phantom Maze dungeon. Players will not have a shortage of platforms to try it out on this November either, as Romancing SaGa 3 is coming to Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS Vita, PS4, and Xbox One.
Meanwhile, SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions is an enhanced re-release of a 2016 PS Vita game that, like Romancing SaGa 3, was only released in Japan. It is better than the original release thanks to remastered graphics, two brand new playable characters, and added character voice-overs. With the exception of Xbox One, SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambition will be releasing on all of the same systems as SaGa 3.
You can check out the latest trailer for Romancing SaGa 3 below. It and SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambition will be releasing on November 11 and December 3, respectively.
