With the recent release of L.A. Noire for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, we are still only waiting on one final version of the game: L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer — L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files will finally be released on December 15, 2017.
Originally, the VR version of the Team Bondi-developed detective game was due out on November 14, 2017, alongside the release of the other console ports. However during Take-Two’s quarterly results in early November, the mega-publisher noted that the game had been delayed — now targeting a launch window of December 2017. Thankfully, Rockstar will easily be meeting that window with the new launch date.
Little else is known about L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files — we got a fresh back of screenshots in mid-November showing off the viewpoint of detective Cole Phelps. Besides that, DualShockers went hands-on with the Nintendo Switch re-release of the six-year-old game, noting that it is a “solid port… that Switch owners should consider.”
As mentioned above, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files will be available exclusively for HTC Vive; meanwhile, the normal console version of L.A. Noire is available immediately for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
