Toronto-based independent game studio Cococucumber released its action-adventure platformer Planet of the Eyes on Steam back in 2015, earning it a finalist spot for Best Indie Game at the 2015 Canadian Videogame Awards. Today, the developer announced that the title will soon be coming to consoles with a brand new gameplay trailer.
On September 12, Cococucumber’s Planet of the Eyes will make its console debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
For those unfamiliar with the now two-year-old game, Planet of the Eyes tells the story of a service robot that finds itself stranded on some unknown planet. While trying to uncover the secrets of the world, this robot will need to cross wide-expanses and solve physics-based puzzles, often undergoing a plethora of cleverly animated deaths. It’s a game that expects players to experiment frequently to be rewarded with fully-voiced audio logs that provide further insights into the environment and the robot’s predicament.
Planet of the Eyes is currently available on Steam for $9.99. The game is on its way to PS4 and Xbox One on September 12, 2017.
