Retro City Rampage DX, which has gotten a release on nearly every other modern console so far, will finally be coming to PS Vita in a limited run physical edition. Only 3,000 units will be made and available for preorder on Wednesday, April 24th at 10am PST/1pm EST. And when the company says limited, they mean it. Sony has ended PS Vita cartridge production at this point, so there will be no more copies produced.
If you’re itching for even more merch for the game, you can purchase hand painted Retro City Rampage and Shakedown: Hawaii mini figures. The whole set will also go on sale on April 24th; each figurine comes with a removable stand and a box that doubles as a building backdrop. The button sets will also be back in stock at an unspecified date.
And for fans of Shakedown: Hawaii — don’t fret. The PS Vita physical copies for that title will also go on sale soon, with the exact time and date to be revealed later on. According to the developer “Physical copies for other platforms are also on the table for the future, but the PS Vita ones needed to be manufactured first due to PS Vita cartridge deadlines.”
Retro City Rampage DX has already been released for last-gen consoles and PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in the past. Meanwhile you can check out the gallery below for the boxart, button set, and figurine collection. Naturally the designs for the merch are a stylish throwback to the 80s, much like the games they originate from.
