Capcom is holding a special livestream to celebrate the release of Resident Evil 8 Village this may 7, here’s where and how to watch the stream.
Resident Evil Village launch stream
Launch streams like these are typical in Japan, serving as last minute promotion, with comedians, seiyuu, talento, and staff. This time, the stream will most notably feature Resident Evil Village producer Tsuyoshi Kanda, and director Morimasa Sato, who might reveal new details on the game’s development.
The stream will also feature Japanese comedian Gorgeous as MC, who is used to game streams like these. Lastly, musician and comedian Eiko Kano will also appear as a special guest. It’ll definitely be interesting to listen to. Assuming you can speak Japanese.

Where to watch the Resident Evil Village launch livestream
The stream will be happening on YouTube. It doesn’t look like an English version of the livestream will be happening. If time permits and Google wills it, I’ll be publishing a summary of the stream, especially if the producer and director share any interesting tidbits, so stay tuned.
- MODS – Mods for Resident Evil Village are already making the rounds
Stream time and schedule
The Resident Evil Village launch livestream is happening at 20:00 JST May 7. That’s 7 AM ET and 4 AM PT. You can find a countdown here as well.
Personally speaking, I can’t say I’ve actually been convinced with what I’ve seen of Resident Evil Village so far. I’m pretty much a RE boomer in how I can’t really get accustomed to the first person view switch as well. However, it’s definitely commendable Capcom keeps reinventing the series like this. It’s not often you see long running Japanese IPs constantly challenging themselves like this. Final Fantasy comes to mind, to take another mainstream example.
Resident Evil Village is launching this May 7 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC via Steam, and Stadia. We detailed the exact release time of the game here. There’s also a RE8 demo you can play right now , which was extended until May 9.
