Last October, Capcom revealed that it would be porting Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 0, and the Resident Evil Remake to Nintendo Switch. All we got then was a vague 2019 release window, and we haven’t heard much since. That all changed today though, as Capcom took to Twitter in order to unveil the release dates of these Nintendo Switch ports.
Instead of staggering their releases, Capcom plans on launching Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 for Nintendo Switch all on May 21. That day should definitely be a treat for horror fans, as this means all three horror classics will be available before this Summer. The tweet revealing their release date also states that pre-orders for the Switch ports will begin on February 28.

While no official press release of Capcom Blog post has gone up about tis yet, the official Resident Evil Twitter account proceeded to reveal more about where exactly the Nintendo Switch versions of these classic games will be available. If you are located in Europe, all three games are only going to be available on the Nintendo eShop, with Capcom promising to reveal more details about that prior to launch.
European Switch owners will be able to grab all three games as separate digital downloads through the Nintendo eShop! More info coming soon.

Meanwhile, those of us in North America are a bit more lucky. While all three games should be available digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop for us as well, Capcom also revealed that they plan on releasing the Resident Evil Origins Collection, which includes both Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0, physically. That being said, it remains to be seen if both games will be on the cartridge, as that has not been the case with the retail versions of several Capcom bundles for Nintendo Switch.
North American Switch owners will be able to purchase Resident Evil Origins Collection at retail, bundling together both RE0 and 1! Stay tuned for more info.
