Resident Evil 2 has probably been my favorite game of the year so far. While I never got around to playing the original, from what I have heard from colleagues and friends is that it stays pretty true to the first title way back in the late ’90s. It combined horror, action, puzzle solving, and one of my favorite hub worlds to create an unforgettable experience. Well, this mod might even make Resident Evil 2 an even more unforgettable game, just in a little bit of a different way.
CJ and Big Smoke from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas have been quite popular around the internet these days. Whether its the countless memes of Big Smoke or the “oh shit, here we go again” video of CJ, they never miss a chance to give me a quick chuckle while scrolling through your phone. Now, what if Big Smoke took Mr. X’s role in RE 2 and busted down doors of the Racoon City Police Station while CJ was blasting a Gatling gun at him? BeastGamingHD brought this to life and it is as funny as it sounds.
There are even a few audio clips taken straight out of GTA: San Andreas such as when CJ is hit by Big Smoke, he asks “You okay, man?” Big Smoke will also proclaim “It’s me, Big Smoke!” when he grabs CJ. You can take a look at the mod in the video clip below.
Resident Evil 2 has gotten fairly popular in the modding community. Nothing can touch the ridiculousness you would find in some Skyrim or Oblivion mods. However, this Thomas the Train mod will always make me crack a smile.
