From his start with the company in 2003 to his infamous “my body is Reggie” catchphrase–among many other memes–Reggie Fils-Aime has left a lasting mark on the gaming industry, and while Reggie may be retiring from the company, you can now catch up on what he’s doing in his post-Nintendo life over on Twitter.
With today marking Reggie’s official last day at Nintendo before he heads on to retirement, Reggie Fils-Aime has officially made his own Twitter account to chronicle his retirement adventures. Appropriately enough, his handle is “@Reggie” and you can follow him right now.
So far, Fils-Aime has only put up a few tweets, but they’re humorous and full of the charm that we’ve come to know and love from Reggie over the years. Specifically, Reggie shared a photo as he has begun packing up his office, saying that there were “lots of memories” gathered there over the years from his career at Nintendo of America, including his badge from E3 2004.
While Reggie’s retirement very much marks the end of an era not only for Nintendo, but for the gaming industry as a whole, it’s heartening at least that we’ll still have a way to see what Reggie is up to now that he’ll get to enjoy the retired life with his friends and family…but hopefully he’ll still get to play a Nintendo game every now and then.
