Quantum Error is a cross-gen PlayStation-exclusive title coming to both PS5 and PS4 on an unknown date. While the only thing we’ve seen so far is a brief announcement trailer with a glimpse of the gameplay, the developers will be sharing more details about the game on Saturday this week.

Originally announced later in March, Quantum Error is the latest effort from the developers behind Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris. It’s completely understandable if you haven’t even heard about the studio’s previous title as it wasn’t a successful launch for Teamkill Media. However, Quantum Error is one of the few games announced for PS5 so far, which gives it a better chance to gather a large community of fans in the world before the announcement time arrives for the big first-party titles of PS5.

Recently, the developer shared a new tweet, revealing that we will get to see a new teaser from Quantum Error on June 6, which is two days after Sony’s official event for PS5 on June 4th. It’s yet to be seen what’s going to be premiered on Saturday, but surely we need more than a teaser to find out more about the game’s world, its key features, and gameplay mechanics.

As far as the announcement trailer reveals, Quantum Error is about a group of people (firefighters probably) who have stuck in an extraordinary situation in the Farallon Islands. According to developers, the game will have some similarities to the Dead Space series in case of horror elements.

Despite being a PlayStation-exclusive at launch, the developers will consider Quantum Error‘s launch on Xbox Series X and PC in the future. For now, the game doesn’t have a release date, but if it’s going to be a PS5 launch title, we will probably find out in the upcoming showcase.
