PUBG content is coming to Tera in a thirty day crossover event that begins on March 5 and lasts through April 5, 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 players of Tera.
This crossover event will include supply crates coming into Tera maps and allow payers to take part in PUBG-themed battles and earn costumes and other items. Players over level 60 in Tera will be able to engage with level 70 PUBG popori enemies that spawn throughout Northern Arun for two hours each day. Supply crates will also be falling onto the field during this time and both smashing the crates and defeating popori will net you rewards of creates, keys, consumables, and Battle Points that are used to obtain helmets such as the iconic level 3 Spetsnaz helmet. Those who log in for just an hour every day during the event get daily keys and crates rewards. Those who want even more can battle bosses and complete dungeons and use Battle Points accrued during these activities to purchase two premium permanent helmets and event consumables at the in-game PUBG Shop.
The Highwatch location will be outfitted with a fleet of planes and trucks straight from PUBG.
This crossover with Tera is partly due to both En Masse and PUBG Corporation having the same parent company, Krafton Game Union aka Bluehole. Not only that but En Masse was also the developer who helped with Alpha testing, gave PAX support, and even housed Brendon Greene, Shimmer, and Sammie in their offices for “several months.”
Tera is an MMORPG that released in 2011 in Korea and 2012 in North America and Europe and later in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PUBG is the battle royale game that took the world by storm, before Fortnite stole its thunder, way back in ye olde 2017. PUBG is no stranger to crossovers, though its choices have sometimes been rather odd, such as introducing Suicide Squad Joker and Harley Quinn outfits to the PC version last November. The mobile version of PUBG, developed separately by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio, internal divisions of Tencent Games, had a crossover with Resident Evil 2 coinciding with its release last month. This mode introducing a PvE aspect in a special Zombie: Survive Till Dawn mode that had players fighting each other as well as Resident Evil zombies, lickers, and recognizable characters.
