Today Bandai Namco released a batch of new screenshots of its upcoming action game New Gundam Breaker.
We learn more about the way you can customize your mobile suits, and more precisely about inner frames. When you start assembling your robot, you have to choose among five different frames, Balance, Striker, Gunner, Enchantment, and Search.
Each frame has its own specific EX Skill and different stats. The green Balance frame is a multirole one focused on flexibility. The red Striker frame has excellent attack power and durability for frontline fighting. The blue Gunner frame has the highest attack power to pick out enemies from a distance. The yellow Enchantment frame has strong defense and powerful in the use of EX skills. The pink Search frame has the best mobility and speed.
On top of the ones provided by the frame, it’s possible to equip six additional EX Skills on the head, torso, arms, legs, shield, and backpack.
By using the Awakening feature during the battle you can temporarily raise your stats, but there is a second effect. In this game when you’re defeated, you can temporarily lose your parts to the enemy. When you use Awakening, you will return to the original built you created before the battle.
New mobile suits (and their parts) have also been introduced: the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, the ASW-G-01 Gundam Bael, and the ASW-G-66 Gundam Kimaris Vidar. All three hail from the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans.
You can check out the screenshots below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy a recent trailer, and the introduction of the Gundam AGEII Magnum.
The game has been announced as a PS4 exclusive, and it’ll come in 2018 both in Japan and in the west.
