Today Furyu announced Crystar, an action JRPG for PS4 in development at the Tokyo-based studio Gemdrops.
if you’re not familiar with the name, Gemdrops worked on both Lost Sphear and I am Setsuna in cooperation with Tokyo RPG Factory, on the arcade game Gunslinger Stratos 2, and is helping out Edelweiss with Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin.
While the name of the studio might be unfamiliar, the name of the writer at the helm of the project should definitely ring a bell (at least if you love visual novels). It’s Naoki Hisaya, known for his work for Key on stories like Kanon. The character design features the recognizable style of Ryuichi.
Not much else is known about the project besides the fact that it will be released in Japan on October 18th. Considering the fact that Hisaya-san is writing the scenario, you should not be surprised by the fact that a lot of tears are involved.
