According to some data miners at Pokémon GO Hub, Pokémon from Generation Three should be heading to Pokémon GO sometime before Halloween.
A new Halloween-themed loading screen (below) for the anticipated event shows Gengar up at the front, surrounded by Gen. Three Pokémon: Sableye, Banette, Duskull, Dusclops, and last but not least, Shuppet. Murkrow and Zubat are also in the loading screen but both are from earlier generations.
Audio for all of the third generation Pokémon were also found within the game’s code, as well as a slew of bug and technical fixes. Based on their findings, there will also be new nighttime Halloween music added into the game alongside the new update when it rolls out. There’ll also be a new badge added for collecting all of the monsters from Generation Three.
Back in late August, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou were added to the game but each only appeared in certain regions of the world. Their regions were changed on September 30 for players that may not be able to go to other countries to catch the legendary beasts, and they’ll be moving one final time on the last day of October. Be sure to keep an eye out for them if you haven’t caught the ones you want already.
Pokémon GO is available now on iOS and Android devices.
