Niantic is now in full swing with preparation for the upcoming Pokemon GO Fest at the end of this month. We’re coming to the end of the second of three special events designed for the lead up to the Festival, and Team Rocket’s notorious foes Jessie, James, and Meowth / Nyarth are invading the game in their iconic Balloon.
That’s not all however. Alongside the in-game additions, Niantic released some real-world goodies to get players ready for Pokemon GO Fest 2020. The items are all designed to be crafted at home. Niantic said to “Transform your space into a Pokémon GO Fest celebration! Download our official Print at Home kit to enjoy some paper crafts and decorations. These will only be available to download for a limited time.”.
The kits available through the website include, but are not limited to decorations, paper crafts, activities and life sized cut-outs of each of the 3 team leaders within the game.
Get ready for an epic #PokemonGOFest2020 with the all-new Pokémon GO Fest Print at Home kit! Use these crafts, decorations, and more to celebrate GO Fest, wherever you are. Available now for free on the Pokémon GO Fest website! https://t.co/8VWz0j10ZA pic.twitter.com/7M7bCoT0Kv

This is the first time that Pokemon GO Fest has been available as a play-at-home event, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, so it looks like Niantic is going all out to make it special for players. They have already confirmed the inclusion of rare Pokemon like Gible and the first chance to catch the Mythical Pokemon Victini.
Through its official Twitter, Niantic also revealed a big quality of life change players have been asking for saying “Trainers, we’re happy to share that when you use a Raid Pass, Premium Battle Pass, or Remote Raid Pass to join a Raid Battle, the pass will now be consumed when the Raid Battle begins instead of when you join the lobby.”.
Pokemon GO Fest 2020 takes place on the weekend of 25/26 July and tickets are on sale through the app now.
